Volleyball Defeats Salem 3-0

Framingham, Mass.  — The Framingham State University volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 win tonight on the road over the Salem State University Vikings in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women's volleyball match.  With the win, the Rams even their conference record at 3-3 and improve to 18-13 overall.  The loss drops the Vikings to 1-5 in the MASCAC and 5-19 overall on the season.    

Framingham State won in straight sets by scores of 25-13, 25-8, and 25-12.

Senior libero Jessi Goode (Marston Mills, Mass.) had a solid all-around game with 17 digs, 11 service receptions and two services aces.  Freshman setter Maribeth Martin (Marston Mills, Mass.) chipped in 21 assists and nine digs, while classmate Andressa Fernandes (Framingham, Mass.) chipped in nine kills and three blocks.

The Rams return to action on Saturday as they conclude their season at the Bridgewater State Halloween Quad with the first match slated to begin at 11 a.m.
