Volleyball Downs Suffolk 3-0

Boston, Mass.  — The Framingham State University volleyball team snapped a two game losing streak with a 3-0 win on the road tonight over Suffolk University in a non-conference women's volleyball match.  With the win, the Rams improve to 16-12 on the year, while the loss drops the Suffolk Rams to 10-16.                  

Freshman Andressa Fernandes (Framingham, Mass.) paced the Rams attack with a team-high 11 kills, while senior libero Jessi Goode (Marston Mills, Mass.) chipped in 16 digs with no errors.  Freshmen Erin Connolly (Lakeville, Mass.) and Maribeth Martin (Marston Mills, Mass.) had strong serving nights for the Rams.

The Rams return to action on Saturday for their 2010 Senior Day as they host MCLA and Eastern Nazarene College in a tri-match beginning at noon, while the Suffolk University Rams host Mount Ida and Pine Manor in a tri-match on Saturday that begins at 10 a.m.
