Regis Sweeps Tri-Match with Framingham and MCLA

Framingham, MA - The Regis College volleyball team swept a tri-match with Framingham State and MCLA today at Framingham's Athletic Center as they defeated MCLA in the middle match of the day 3-0 and ended the day with a thrilling five game 3-2 win over the Rams.  In the first match of the day, the Rams defeated MCLA 3-0 to earn their third conference win of the season.

In the first match, the Rams (12-14, 3-2 MASCAC) were led by sophomore Ashley Trudeau (Rockland, MA), who had 12 kills, 13 digs and 1.5 blocks against.  Freshman Meagan Malloy (Milford, MA) chipped in with nine kills and sophomore Jessi Goode (Marston Mills, MA) had a game-high 24 assists.

In the final match of the day, Malloy and Trudeau led the Rams with 20 and 15 kills respectively.  Goode picked up 38 assists and 20 digs in the match, while fellow sophomore Allie Appleman (Hyannis, MA) also chipped in 20 digs.

The Rams return to action on Thursday as they travel to Salem State to conclude their conference schedule, while the Pride travel to St. Joseph's College (ME) on Friday at 7 p.m. and the Trailblazers host Norwich on Wednesday at 7.
