Volleyball Picks Up First Conference Win

Framingham, MA - The Framingham State College volleyball team picked up their first Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) win tonight at the Athletic Center 3-0 over the visiting Buccaneers of Massachusetts Maritime Academy.  With the win the Rams improve to 7-10 on the season and 1-1 in the MASCAC, while the Bucs are still in search of their first win at 0-9 overall and 0-6 in the MASCAC.

The Rams were once again led by sophomore hitter Ashley Trudeau (Rockland, MA) who had a game-high 12 kills and six aces.  Sophomore libero Allison Appleman (Hyannis, MA) had a career-high 12 aces and 24 service points in the match.  Senior setter Heather Winders (Plymouth, MA) chipped in with a game-high 16 assists.

The Rams return to action on Saturday as they host Husson and Lasell in a tri-match beginning at 10 a.m., while the Buccaneers face off against Thomas at UMaine Farmington on Friday night at 7 p.m.
