Volleyball Defeats UMass Dartmouth in Five Games

Framingham, MA - The Framingham State College volleyball team picked up their 16th win of the season  with a 3-2 tonight at the Athletic Center over the visiting Cosairs of UMass Dartmouth.  With the win, the Rams improve to 16-12 on the season, while the Cosairs fall to 6-17.

The Rams took the first and third games by scores of 30-24 and 30-27, while the Cosairs took the second and fourth, 30-23 and 30-24.  The Rams picked up their intensity and took the deciding fifth game by a score of 15-9.

Freshman Ashley Trudeau (Rockland, MA) had an outstanding game as she picked up 14 kills, 17 digs and 5.5 blocks.  Senior Liz (Brockton, MA) Pedro broke out of her recent slump with 37 assists, nine kills, 23 digs and two blocks.  Freshmen Allie Appleman (Hyannis, MA) and Jessi Goode (Marston Mills, MA) had outstanding defensive games for the Rams with 32 and 25 digs respectively.

The Rams return to action on Thursday, October 25th as they host Salem State at 6 p.m. to close out conference action this season.
