Volleyball Falls to Gordon, 3-0

Framingham, MA - The Framingham State College volleyball team was defeated tonight at the Athletic and Recreation Center by Gordon College by a score of 3-0.  With the win, the Fighting Scots improve to 15-7 on the season while the Rams are 12-9. 

Gordon College held off a late surge by the Rams to win the first game 30-28 and then took the second 30-25.  The Fighting Scots controlled the third and cruised to a 30-15 win.  Gordon College was led by junior Blakely Burns (Laguna Beach, CA) who ended both the first and send second games with huge kills for the Fighting Scots. 

The Rams were led by freshman middle hitter Ashley Trudeau (Rockland, MA) who had seven kills and senior Liz Pedro (Brockton, MA) who had 17 assists and 18 digs.

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Worcester State for a tri-match with Westfield State beginning at 11 a.m., while the Fighting Scots return to action on Thursday as they host Greensboro College at 7 p.m.
