Volleyball Opens Season with Win Over Babson

Framingham, MA - Framingham State opened their season tonight at home at the Athletic and Recreation Center with a 3-0 win over Babson.  Framingham State won the first and third games by a score of 30-26 and barely edged the Beavers in the middle game 32-30.  With the win the Rams are now 1-0 on the young season, while the Beavers move to 1-1.

The Rams were led by senior captain Liz Pedro (Brockton, MA) who had 20 assists and six kills.  Junior Andrea Larson (Milton, MA) chipped in 11 kills, while freshman Nicole Donofrio (Whitman, MA) picked up 4.5 blocks on the night.  Sophomore Megan McDonald (Avon, MA) chipped in 11 digs and 27 service points. 

The Rams return to action on Friday, September 7th at the Western Connecticut State Tournament at 5:30 p.m., while the Beavers travel to Brandeis University for the Brandeis Invitational also on Friday.
