Westfield, MA - The Framingham State women's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw on the road at Westfield State Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Framingham State struck first with a goal from Hailey Ring at the 29:41 mark of the first half, assisted by Leiyani Buckner.
  • Westfield State equalized early in the second half with a goal from Kiana Muratsuka, assisted by Liv DeMember at the 48:11 mark.
  • Both teams had opportunities to take the lead, but strong defensive play and goalkeeping kept the score level.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Framingham State's Hailey Ring led the team with 3 shots, 2 on goal, and 1 goal.
  • Goalkeeper Amelia Finley made 4 saves in the first half, while Savannah Goba added 6 saves in the second half.
  • Westfield State outshot Framingham State 18-10, with Kiana Muratsuka leading all players with 5 shots, 3 on goal, and 1 goal.
  • Westfield State had a significant advantage in corner kicks, 13-2.
