Women’s Lacrosse Cruises to 19-1 Victory over Salem State in MASCAC Action

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's lacrosse cruised to a 10-0 lead after one and never looked back as the Rams defeated Salem State 19-1 in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action this morning at Maple Street.

- Records: Framingham State (9-2, 3-0 MASCAC), Salem State (2-8, 0-2 MASCAC) 

- Location: Maple Street Field Framingham, Mass. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams opened the game with a pair of goals from Leah Green just over two minutes into the game. Framingham would add eight more in the frame including three from Molly Lanier to lead 10-0 after one period. 

  • A pair of goals from Hannah Guerin and another tally from Green pushed the Rams lead to 12-0, but the Vikings got on the board on a free position shot from Olivia Tednes with just over two m3nutes to play in the second. Lanier added a marker for the Rams in the final minute to give the Rams a 14-1 lead at the half 

  • The Rams maintained the large lead throughout the second half securing the victory. 

  • Green finished the day with six goals and an assist for the Rams, while Guerin scored five times and assisted on one. 

  • Lanier finished the game with four goals and an assist, while Julianna Guzi added four assists and Hailey Baker finished the game with a goal and four helpers. 

  • Isabella DiMare earned her ninth victory of the season in net making one save.
