Women’s Lacrosse Sails to 21-7 Victory over Salem State

Salem, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's lacrosse team jumped out to a 7-0 lead and never looked back as the Rams defeated Salem State University 21-7 in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Alumni Field.

-Scores:  Framingham State 21, Salem State 7 

-Records: Framingham State (7-5, 2-0 MASCAC), Salem State (4-7, 1-1 MASCAC)  

- Location: Alumni Field Salem, Mass. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • The Rams started the game with seven straight goals including two from Leah Green. Salem State got on the board in the final minute of the first and the Rams led 7-1 after one. 

  • Salem struck first in the second quarter, but the Rams countered with eight straight to close the half leading 15-2. Green tallied three times on the run and Hannah Guerin added four. 

  • The Rams maintained the double-digit lead throughout the second half en route to the MASCAC victory. 

  • Guerin finished the game with five goals and seven assists, while Green finished the game with five goals. 

  • Molly Lanier scored four goals and picked up an assist, while Rachel Ericson added three goals and a helper. 

  • Alexis Burleigh earned the victory in net and made four saves.
