Women's Lacrosse Sweeps MASCAC Weekly Awards
Framingham, Mass.- Framingham State sophomore Rachel Erickson has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week and freshman Kathryn Simpson has earned Rookie of the Week honors for the week ending May 8th.
Erickson tallied nine goals and an assist along with eight draw controls, five caused turnovers and a ground ball on her way to earning Tournament MVP honors as the Rams claimed the MASCAC title. Scored five goals with five draw controls in the 17-11 semifinal win over Worcester State. She scored four goals and added an assist in the 18-10 championship win over Bridgewater State.
Simpson tallied four goals and two assists in a 2-0 week on their way to the MASCAC Tournament title. She registered an assist in the 17-11 semifinal win over Worcester State and added four goals and an assist in the 18-10 championship win over Bridgewater State.
