Women’s Lacrosse Cruises to 17-3 Victory over Emmanuel

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's lacrosse team received five goals from freshman Ashley Gregory (Lynn, Mass.) as the Rams cruised to a 17-3 victory over Emmanuel College at Maple Street Field.

With the win, the Rams have won six straight and improve to 7-1 on the year, while the Saints are still in search of their first victory at 0-5.

Gregory paced the Rams offense that first 39 shots in the game and added an assist, a draw control. Senior Kimmy Foley (Mansfield, Mass.) added three goals and an assist, while sophomore Nicole Pacheco (Woburn, Mass.) also tallied three markers with an assist.  Sophomore Grace Gamache (Dartmouth, Mass.) added a goal and three helpers, while freshman Hanna McMahon (Watertown, Mass.) and classmate Alissa Marino (Trumbull, Conn.) tallied a pair of goals apiece.

The Saints received single goals from sophomore Kylie Rice, freshman Elizabeth Fortier and freshman Alexandra Ford in the setback.

The Rams tallied the first four goals of the game before Fortier put the Saints on the board with 13 minutes remaining in the frame. The Rams rattled off two straight including one from Foley and one from McMahon before Rice converted a free position shot. The Rams closed the half with four straight to take control of the game.

Junior Indigo Fox Tree-McGrath (Bedford, Mass.) earned the win in net and made two saves in 30 minutes of action. Freshman Mikayla Seavey (Bridgewater, Mass.) allowed one goal in her half of action while making two saves.

The Rams begin conference play on Saturday when they travel to Worcester State for a MASCAC game at 12 p.m., while the Saints travel to the University of Saint Joseph's on Saturday at 1 p.m.
