Women’s Lacrosse Evens Record with 17-2 Win Over Elms

Framingham, Mass. — Senior Ashley Noonan paced the Rams with seven goals as the Framingham State College women’s lacrosse team snapped a three-game losing streak with a 17-2 win over Elms College this afternoon in New England Women’s Lacrosse Alliance action. With the win the Rams even their record at 6-6 overall and 2-3 in the NEWLA, while the Blazers fall to 0-14 overall and 0-6 in the conference. 

The Rams opened up a 9-0 lead over the first thirteen minutes of the game and cruised to the win as they outshot the Blazers 31-8 in the contest.

Freshman Chelsea Temple (Rutland, VT) picked up four goals and an assist in the game, while junior Stephanie Corrales (Framingham, Mass.) and freshman Brittany McLean (Walpole, Mass.) added two goals apiece.  McLean added a game-high four assists, while Corrales picked up three.  Junior Melissa Price (Norwood, Mass.) and freshman Jackie Dupuis (Watertown, Mass.) each chipped in a single goal, while sophomore Kerry Kiley (Mansfield, Mass.) was held without a goal for the first time this season but did pick up three assists.

Sophomore Chelsey Grabowski (South Hadley, Mass.) and junior Jennifer Lough (Feeding Hills, Mass.) scored a goal apiece for the Blazers.

The Rams return to action on Thursday as they travel to Fitchburg State at 7 p.m., while the Blazers travel to Westfield on Friday night at 6 p.m.
