Carpenter Earns MASCAC Player of the Week

Framingham, Mass Framingham State sophomore Gwendolyn Carpenter has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending February 27th . 

Carpenter was named MASCAC Tournament Most Valuable Player after the Rams defeated Bridgewater State 84-69 in the MASCAC Championship on Saturday afternoon. Carpenter averaged 21 points, 8.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 10-for-19 (52.6 percent) from the field over the two games this week. She scored 20 points with nine assists and six rebounds in the 84-69 Title Game and netted 22 points, eight assists and five rebounds in the 81-63 semifinal win over Worcester State.
