O’Day Earns CoSIDA Academic All-American Honors

Framingham, Mass. – Senior guard Mary Kate O'Day (Berlin, Mass.) has been selected to the 2019-20 Academic All-America® NCAA Division III women's basketball second team. The CoSIDA Academic All-America program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

O'Day, majoring in Sociology has a 3.93 GPA in classroom and has been on both the Dean's List and President's List every semester she was eligible. On the court, O'Day is currently the Rams second highest scorer in program history and has earned 1st team All-MASCAC honors three times in addition to being the 2017-18 and 2019-20 MASCAC Player of the Year as well NEWBA and a D3hoops.com All-Region honoree.

Behind O'Day, the 2019-20 Rams posted a 22-6 record and perfect 12-0 record in league play capturing the outright MASCAC Regular Season Championship for the first time in program history. The Rams went on the sweep the MASCAC Tournament to capture their first conference championship in school history and first appearance in the NCAA Div. III Tournament.

O'Day is the first Ram to be honored as a CoSIDA Academic All-American since former women's soccer standout Kayla Austin was named to the second team in 2013.
