Moran, Carpenter and Lynch Earn MASCAC Weekly Honors

Framingham, Mass. – After capturing the 2023 MASCAC Tournament Title junior pitcher Ally Moran, junior outfielder Gwendolyn Carpenter and freshman outfielder Angelina Lynch have been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Softball Pitcher, Player and Rookie of the Week for the week ending May 14th.       

Moran earns pitcher of the week after earning MASCAC Tournament MVP honors. She went 3-0 in the tournament and allowed just one earned run in 15 innings of work while striking out nine. Moran went the distance allowing three hits and one earned run to Bridgewater State as the Rams defeated the Bears 10-2 in five innings in the title game. 

Carpenter earns player of the week honors after hitting .556 (5-for-9) with two doubles, two home runs, six RBI, four runs scored and a 1.444 slugging percentage during the tournament. She went 3-for-3 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in the title game victory and added a home run and three RBI in quarterfinal win over Westfield State. 

Lynch earns rookie of the week honors after going 5-for-7 (.714) during the tournament with two doubles, four RBI, three runs scored and a .750 on-base percentage. She went 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored in win over Westfield and added a 2-for-3 performance with a run scored in the title game victory.
