Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University softball team split a pair of game this afternoon with Westfield State with the Owls taking game one 1-0 and the Rams rebounding in game two for a 1-0 victory in a MASCAC doubleheader.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Game 1: Westfield State 1, Framingham State 0
- In the opener, the Owls secured the 1-0 victory after an RBI double from Colleen Hughes sent Lindsay Cordopatri home in the top of the first inning.
- Shelby Roode, Brooke Grassia, and Gwen Carpenter all collected hits for the game for the Rams.
- Ally Moran took the loss for the Rams allowing one run, three hits and seven strikeouts.
- Stephanie Scoville finished the game with five strikeouts and four hits for the Owls.
Game 2: Framingham State 1, & Wales 0
- A single run in the bottom of the second on a Kelsey McGuill homer claimed the 1-0 win for the Rams in game two.
- Caroline Hughes earned the win for the Rams allowing no runs with seven strikeouts and letting up five hits.
- McGuill and Kyleigh McGreevy recorded both hits for the second game for the Rams.
