Gunarathne Named MASCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week

Framingham, Mass. – Junior Kelsi Gunarathne (Providence, RI) has been selected the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 15^th.        

Gunarathne, who earns her third pitcher of the week honor this season, went 3-1 with two complete games and a 1.00 ERA in 21 innings of work over five appearances.  She tossed a complete game allowing one earned run on seven hits with four strikeouts and two walks in a 3-1 victory over Babson College.  She tossed three innings of relief allowing no runs on two hits in a game two 7-6 eight inning victory over Worcester State.
