Softball Lands Four on MASCAC All-Conference Teams

Framingham, Mass.- The Framingham State University softball team has placed four student-athletes on the 2016 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) All-Conference Teams, two first team nods and two second team honorees.

Junior Tiffanie Marsh (Tewksbury, Mass.), the 2015 MASCAC Player of the Year, and sophomore Dayna Marchant (East Bridgewater, Mass.) both repeat as first team selections. Junior catcher Marissa Flynn (Marlborough, Mass.) and sophomore outfielder Anna Dziok (Southampton, Mass.) both receive 2nd team honors.

Marsh led the Rams with a .370 batting average and 27 runs scored while collecting 47 hits, 10 doubles, 2 triples, 2 homers and 22 RBI. Marchant hit .367 with 47 hits, 8 doubles, 3 triples knocking in 10 and scoring 20 runs.

Flynn hit an even .300 with a .364 OBP leading the team in stolen bases (6) and 2nd on the team in runs scored (24). Dziok hit .317 on the season and led all Rams with 11 doubles and 26 runs batted in.

The Rams close the season at 13-27 and tied for sixth in the MASCAC.
