Salisbury Named MASCAC Softball Player & Rookie of the Week
Framingham, Mass. – Freshman outfielder Lauren Salisbury (Cranston, RI) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Softball Player & Rookie of the for the week ending April 3rd.
Salisbury batted .583 with seven hits, including two doubles and a triple with seven RBI and two runs scored with a .917 slugging percentage in a 2-2 week for the Rams. She drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh in the 5-4 win over Fitchburg State, going 2-for-4 in the game. The freshman was 4-for-6 with two doubles, a triple, six RBI and two runs scored in a doubleheader split with UMass Dartmouth.
The Rams return to action on Thursday, March 9th when they travel to UMass. Boston for a non-conference double header starting at 3:30 p.m.
