Marsh & Marchant Named MASCAC Player & Rookie of the Week

Framingham, Mass.- Sophomore Tiffanie Marsh (Tewksbury, Mass.) & freshman Dayna Marchant (East Bridgewater, Mass.) have been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Softball Player and Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 5th, respectively.    

Marsh  hit .500 (5-10) with two home runs, four runs scored and three RBI while adding three stolen bases, a slugging percentage of 1.100 and .583 on base percentage in a 3-1 week for the Rams. She went 2-for-2 with a run scored and RBI in the 4-1 win over MCLA and 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and an RBI in the 4-2 win over UMass Dartmouth. Marsh was also 2-0 on the week in the circle with a 0.98 ERA, three strikeouts in two complete games victories for the Rams, including a seven inning, six hit effort in the 4-1 win over MCLA.

Marchant hit .462 (6-13) a home run, five runs scored and three RBI in a 3-1 week for the Rams, including 1-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI in the 4-1 win over MCLA and four hits with two runs scored and an RBI in the doubleheader sweep of UMass Dartmouth.

The Rams return to action on Tuesday, April 7th when they host Emmanuel with first pitch scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
