DiTerlizzi Named MASCAC Softball Co-Player of the Week
Framingham, Mass. – Senior outfielder Andrea DiTerlizzi (Shrewsbury, Mass) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Softball Co-Player of the Week for the week ending April 24th. DiTerlizzi shares player of the week honors with Westfield State freshman shortstop Bri Eichstaedt.
DiTerlizzi batted .588 for the Rams last week (10-for-17) with three doubles, seven runs scored and eight RBI as the Rams went 4-2 sweeping MASCAC doubleheaders with Massachusetts Maritime Academy and Fitchburg State University. DiTerlizzi went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles and pair of RBI on Monday as the Rams were defeated in game one of a twinbill with Worcester State. She closed the week collecting three hits in each of the sweeps and drove in six runs.
The Rams are 10-18 overall and 6-4 in the conference and return to action on Tuesday with a conference twinbill at Salem State.
