Framingham State Takes Doubleheader from Mass. Maritime

Buzzards Bay, MA - Katelyn Pacheco (Acushnet, MA) pitched a no-hitter Saturday, facing one batter over the limit in seven innings while striking out 11 as she led the Framingham State College Rams (12-19) to a 6-0 victory in the second game of a softball double header at Massachusetts Maritime Academy. The Rams won the first game by a score of 5-0.

In each game FSC scored a run in the top of the first and in both cases that proved to be all the Rams would need. In the opener senior Kelly Knox (Framingham, MA) earned her 10th win of the year for the Rams and scored a run.

Cali Longtin (Feeding Hills) took both losses for the Buccaneers.

In the second game Colleen Clancy (Lynn, MA) scored in the top of the first for FSC and Pacheco did the rest. Leading 2-0 in the top of the sixth, Sara Mulkeen (Wrentham, MA) put the game out of reach with a two-run home run over the left-centerfield fence as the Rams pushed four more runs across the plate.  With the losses MMA drops to 1-17 on the season.
