Men's Soccer Fourth Seed in Upcoming MASCAC Championship Tournament

Westfield, Mass. – The Framingham State University men's soccer team has earned the fourth seed in this Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Soccer Championship Tournament, while Bridgewater State University has earned the top seed.

The tournament begins with a pair of quarterfinals on Tuesday, November 4th.    Framingham State hosts fifth seed MCLA at Maple Street Field at 4 p.m., while third seed Fitchburg State plays host to sixth seed Westfield State at 7 p.m.

The winner of the Framingham State/MCLA quarterfinal will advance to face top seed Bridgewater State on Friday, November 7 at 7 p.m. in Bridgewater.  The winner of the Fitchburg State/Westfield State quarterfinal match will travel to second seed Massachusetts Maritime on Friday for a 7 p.m. start.

The winners of the two semifinal contests will meet on Sunday at the highest remaining seed to decide the 2014 MASCAC tournament champion and the conference's automatic qualifier for the NCAA tournament.

Last season Bridgewater State upset top-seed Worcester State in the MASCAC Men's Soccer Tournament with a 1-0 victory to stamp their ticket to the NCAA tournament.
