Worcester, Mass.- Freshman Matt Farrell's (Groveland, Mass.) first collegiate goal proved to be the game-winner while senior goalkeeper Jeff Wong (Millington, NJ) won his 20th career game in a 3-0 victory over visiting Framingham State in a non-conference men's soccer match on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field.

Farrell beat the Rams net minder with a sliding shot in the 28th minute for the only tally in the first half.  WPI (2-0-1) took 14 of the 16 shots and all three corner kicks that were awarded in the opening stanza.

After the intermission, Ciampa recorded his sixth goal of the year as he headed in a corner kick taken by sophomore Brien Hard (New Hartford, CT) in the 49th minute. Later in the half, junior Eric Crevoiserat (Glastonbury, CT) capitalized on a penalty kick in the 76th minute for his first of the season.

Senior Jeff Wong (Millington, NJ) was called upon to make two saves in the complete game effort for the Engineers.  Junior Kiko Anzoategui (Peabody, Mass.), meanwhile, halted eight shots in the setback for the Rams.

Senior Henrique DaSilva (Framingham, Mass.) accounted for two of Framingham State's four shots, while rookies Gui Chaves (Framingham, Mass.) and Akram Ndamba (Framingham, Mass.) chipped in with one each.

WPI heads to #19 Brandeis to take on the Judges at 4pm on Tuesday. Framingham State (0-3) ventures to Roger Williams for a 7 p.m. game on Wednesday.
