Vieira Named ECAC Division III New England Men’s Soccer All-Star

Framingham, Mass. – Sophomore midfielder Ronaldo Vieira (Framingham, Mass.) was named a 2011 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Men's Soccer All-Star. Vieira was a first team selection by the ECAC and joins Salem State's Rafael Santos as the only two Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) men's soccer players honored by the ECAC.  Santos was a second team selection.

Vieira, the 2011 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Player of the Year and a first team All-MASCAC selection after earning 2010 MASCAC Rookie of the Year honors a season ago, was previously named to the NSCAA All-New England Team.  Vieira earns his first All-New England honors and first ECAC All-Star honors after leading the Rams to the 2011 MASCAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships as well as an appearance in the NCAA Championships.  Vieira netted 11 goals, including four game-winning tallies and a pair of assists for 24 points this season and was the lone MASCAC player selected to the NSCAA All-New England South first team and ECAC first team.
