DaSilva Named MASCAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week

Framingham, Mass. – Framingham State University freshman midfielder Bryan DaSilva (Milford, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending November 5th, 2011 after being named the Most Valuable Player during the 2011 MASCAC Men's Soccer Championship.

DaSilva, who earns his first player of the week honors, earned the MVP honors for the Rams during their run to the 2011 MASCAC Men's Soccer Tournament Championship as he tallied three goals and an assist for seven points.  DaSilva scored a pair of goals including the game-winner in the Rams 4-3 semi-final victory over fourth seed Westfield State on Thursday and followed that up with an assist on the game-winning tally and an insurance goal in the Rams 2-0 title match triumph over Salem State.

With the victory in the title game, the Rams have earned the MASCAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship with the brackets and pairings being released later this afternoon.
