Men's Soccer & Westfield State Play to 0-0 Draw

Framingham, MA - The Framingham State College men's soccer team opened Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) play this morning with a 0-0 double overtime draw against the Westfield State Owls at Maple Street Field.  The Rams remain unbeaten this season at 5-0-1, while the Owls improve to 3-1-1.  Both teams are now 0-0-1 in conference play.

The Rams outshot the Owls on the day 25-17 but neither team was able to score during the 110 minutes of action.  Framingham State goalie Greg Halle (Beverly, MA) made 10 saves on the day, while Westfield State goalie Mike Thompson (Feeding Hills, MA) faced 25 shots from the Rams and made 13 stops including several down the stretch of regulation to preserve the tie.

The Rams return to action on Wednesday as they host Babson at 4 p.m., while the Owls host Elms at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
