Gonsalves Selected ECAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week

Framingham, MA - The Framingham State College Athletic Department is pleased to announce that junior forward Johnny Goncalves from Framingham has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the week as well as the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Soccer Player of the Week.

Goncalves, a 2006 All-MASCAC Second Team Selection, had an outstanding week for the Rams as they began conference play with a 7-2 win over Fitchburg State. In that game, Goncalves set a Framingham State College men's soccer school record for points in a game with 11 (five goals and one assist) and tied a school record for goals in a game.  Goncalves is currently fifth on the Rams career scoring list with 57 points.

Goncalves's accomplishments also earned him MASCAC Player of the week honors for the first time this season.  Goncalves is currently the conference leader in points (16), points per game, goals (7) and goals per game.
