Bio

T.J. Brown begins his seventh season as the Rams head ice hockey coach, having spent the previous two years as an assistant coach with the Framingham State ice hockey program.

Brown was tabbed by his peers as the 2013-14 MASCAC Men's Ice Hockey Coach of the Year as he guided the Rams to thier best finish since 2004. THe 2013-14 Rams went 10-10-4 overall during the regular season and  8-7-3  in the MASCAC which were both a vast improvement from the season before when the Rams finished with just two victories overall and were winless in the conference.  Brown guided the Rams to their highest win total since the 2003-04 Rams went 12-11-2 and led the squad to their first post season appearance since 2005.  The Rams made their first MASCAC Tournament appearance where they earned the fourth seed and hosted a quarterfinal match-up.

Brown graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth in 2002 where he was an outstanding ice hockey player. He was a walk on at UMass Dartmouth and during his four years the Corsairs were 68-29-7 and made four appearances in the ECAC Northeast Postseason Tournament. Brown was among the conference scoring leaders each season and finished his career with 77 goals and 78 assists. At the time Brown finished his career, he was the ECAC Northeast All-Time leading scorer. He still ranks among the career scoring leaders at UMass Dartmouth and was a two time All-Conference selection in 2000 and 2002. In 2000, Brown was the ECAC Northeast leading scorer and was selected to the New England Hockey Writers First Team.

Brown, a Framingham native and former standout at Framingham High School, currently resides in Framingham and is a supervisor with Village Green Landscape and Construction.
