Hockey Blanked at Fitchburg State

Fitchburg, Mass.- The Framingham State ice hockey team was shutout by Fitchburg State 3-0 Saturday afternoon in Fitchburg. With the win the Falcons are now 1-2 with a 1-0 mark in the MASCAC. The Rams even up at 1-1 and 0-1 in league play.

The Falcons got on the board a bit over halfway though the first frame when Tyler Warila scored the first of his three goals on the night. Nick DiNicola was credited with an assist on the score.

Warila struck again with an unassisted tally 8 minutes into the second period and scored a power play goal just over five minutes later with Cameron Snyder & Michael Fretz assisting.

Charles Jakobsson made twenty saves in net for the Falcons. Adam Calabrese (Philadelphia, PA) made 25 stops in the setback for the Rams.

Fitchburg was 1-for-9 on the power play and the Rams were 0-for-6.

The Rams return to the ice on Thursday, November 10th when they travel to Worcester State for a MASCAC matchup.
