McCarron Semifinalist for Gridiron Club of Greater Boston 14th Annual Joe Concannon Hockey Award

Boston, Mass. – Framingham State University junior forward Brendan McCarron (Millbury, Mass.) in one of 18 semifinalists for the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston's 14th annual Joe Concannon College Hockey Award.

The Concannon Award is presented annually by the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston to the best American–born college hockey player in New England playing at the Division II/III level.  This year's semifinalists include 12 forwards, two defensemen and four goal tenders including eight players from the NESCAC, five from the ECAC East conference, two from the ECAC Northeast, two from the NE-10 and one from the MASCAC.

McCarron has seen action in all 20 games this season for the Rams and has tallied 19 points on a team-best 11 goals and eight assists.  McCarron has four power play tallies, two game-winners and a game tying marker as the Rams are currently in a position to make their first appearance in the MASCAC post-season tournament with an 8-8-4 overall record and a 6-5-3 mark in the conference.
