Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University ice hockey rallied from a two goal third period deficit to earn a 3-3 overtime draw against Franklin Pierce University this evening in non-conference action at Framingham's Loring Arena.

The Rams are now 7-7-3 on the year, while the Ravens move to 4-12-2.

Franklin Pierce staked themselves a 2-0 lead after one as they outshot the Rams 17-11 in the frame. Sophomore Brendan Glynn (Quincy, Mass.) tallied a power play goal at 6:24 for his third of the season and the 1-0 advantage.  Senior Kyle Craig (Quincy, Mass.) followed with his second of the season at 12:20 for the 2-0 lead.

The Rams got one back just over eight minutes into the second on senior Bo Driscoll's (Chelmsford, Mass.) power play tally off feeds from junior Brendan McCarron (Millbury, Mass.) and senior Daniel Miressi (Monroe, Conn.).  Craig added his second of the game with 29 seconds remaining in the second to push the Ravens lead back to two.

Junior Ryan McDonald (Anchorage, AK) cut the deficit back to one for the Rams just 27 seconds into the third with a shorthanded goal.  McDonald then assisted senior Eric Ward (Haverhill, Mass.) on the game-tying marker at 11:22 of the third.

The Rams held a slim 45-44 advantage for shots in the game including a 6-3 edge in overtime.  Freshman Alessio Muggli (Rueti, Switzerland) made 41 saves between the pipes for the Rams, while sophomore Kyle Moran (Marshfield, Mass.) made 42 stops for the Ravens.

The Rams return to action Thursday night when they host Plymouth State at 7:20 p.m., while the Ravens host Stonehill on Saturday night at 8 p.m.
