Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University ice hockey team won their second in a row this afternoon with a 3-1 victory over Franklin Pierce University in non-conference men's ice hockey action at Framingham's Loring Arena.

With the win, the Rams improve to 3-9-3 on the season, while the loss drops the Ravens to an identical 3-9-3.

Franklin Pierce took a 1-0 lead midway through the first when junior defenseman Tyler Conrele (Cape Coral, Fla.) sent the puck to junior Adam Dallaire (Waltham, Mass.) and Dallaire found the back of the net for his fourth of the season.

Franklin Pierce would maintain the slim 1-0 lead until midway through the second period.  Sophomore Daniel Bogdan (Westfield, Mass.) and freshman Dylan Cosford (Windsor, Ontario) set up sophomore Peter Baldwin (Port Williams, Nova Scotia) for the equalizer and his first of the season at 8:20 of the second.

The game would remain knotted at one with the Ravens outshooting the Rams 26-11 through the first two periods.  Sophomore Dale Adams (Gardner, Mass.) was outstanding in net for the hosts over the first two periods making 25 saves and surrendering the one goal.

The Rams finally broke the deadlock with 4:02 remaining in the game as sophomore Jay Nicholls (Middleton, Mass.) tallied what proved to be the game-winner.  Bogdan picked up his second assist of the game on the tally and sophomore Bo Driscoll (Chelmsford, Mass.) picked up his first.  Nichols would find the back of the net with his second of the game with just 29 seconds remaining to reach the final margin of 3-1.

The Ravens outshot the Rams 36-26 in the game with Adams making 35 saves and picking up his first win, while Raven goalie Ben Siok (Holden, Mass.) made 23 stops in the loss.

The Rams return to action on Thursday when they travel to Salem State University at 7 p.m., while the Ravens travel to Stonehill on Monday at 7 p.m.
