Ice Hockey Falls to Curry 6-3

Framingham, MA - The Framingham State College ice hockey team is still in search of its first win of the season after falling at home tonight at Loring Arena 6-3 to the visiting Colonels of Curry College.  With the win, the Colonels are now 4-0-1 this season, while that Rams are 0-6.

Curry took the lead for good 1:29 into the game on William Hoffman's goal with Jeremy Hmura and Jason Yuel assisting.  The Colonels extended their lead to 5-0 in the second period on goals by Yuel, James Pentecost, Hmura, who scored the game winner, and Justin Liut added the fifth tally of the night.

The Rams Nick Glum scored 55 seconds into the third period to cut the Colonels lead to 5-1, but Curry's James Pentecost responded with his second goal of the night to extend the lead back to five goals.  Sean Boudreau and Tim Richard added single goals in the third period to cut the lead to 6-3, but that was as close as the Rams would get.

Zachary Cardella picked up the win in net for the Colonels making 24 saves, while Peter Dundovich picked up the loss while making 45 saves.

The Rams return to action on Saturday as they host Assumption College at Loring Arena at 7:30 p.m.
