Okafor Named MASCAC Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week

Framingham, Mass. – Freshman forward J.D. Okafor (Boston, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the week ending February 6^th.

Okafor earns his first MASCAC weekly honors after averaging 14.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game in a 1-2 week for the Rams.  Okafor tallied 20 points on 7-of-12 from the floor (58%) and added seven rebounds and two blocks in the Rams 68-60 victory at Fitchburg State. Okafor closed the week with a double double of 14 points and 10 rebounds in setback to the Falcons.
