Men’s Basketball Shoots Past Curry 92-61

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

• The Rams were paced by a game-high 24 points from Ivan Nyantenji. Nyantenji connected on 10-of-11 from the floor including 4-of-5 from behind the arc. He added five rebounds and three steals in the game. 

• JD Okafor chipped in with 18 points off the bench and added five boards, while Marshall Martin finished the game with 12 points and seven rebounds. 

• Javaris Hill and Jalen Bruce chipped in with 10 points apiece. Bruce just missed a double double as he grabbed nine rebounds. 

• Curry was led by 14 points apiece from Frankie Santiago and Todd Robinson Jr., while Chad Suckley added seven points off the bench. 

• The Rams shot 48.6% from the field in the game and 61% from behind the arc, while Curry connected on 50% of their shots and 33% from behind the arc. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• The first half was back and forth with the score tied three times and the lead changing hands five times. 

• Curry took their largest lead of the opening half on a three from Santiago with 16:09 on the clock. 

• Tied at 18-18, the Rams rattled off an 11-0 run capped by a pair of Okafor freebies to take a 29-18 lead. 

• The Rams extended the to as many as 19 in the opening half before heading to the locker room leading 45-28. Bruce had 10 points off the bench for the Rams in the opening frame. 

• Curry's first 24 points of the game came from behind and until they hit their final two buckets of the half from two. 

• Curry cut the deficit to 11 (46-35) in the opening minutes of the second half on a Seth Foley bucket, but the Rams quickly pushed the lead back to 20 on a Nyantenji three with just under 15 remaining. 

• The Rams led by as many as 35 in the second half before taking the win 92-61.
