Hampton Named MASCAC Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week

Framingham, Mass. – Freshman forward Tyri Hampton (Fitchburg, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the week ending January 9^th.

Hampton earns his first weekly honors after averaging 11 points and two rebounds while shooting 76% from the floor (10-13) in a 1-1 week for the Rams as they opened up conference action.  Hampton tallied 12 points and two boards a 76-73 victory over Bridgewater State as well as adding 10 points and two boards with a steal in a loss to Salem State.
