Regis Trumps Men’s Basketball; 67-60

Framingham, Mass.- The Framingham State men's basketball team dropped their home-opener to Regis College by a score of 67-60 on Tuesday night in Framingham.

With the win the Pride are now 2-2 while the Rams slip to 1-3.

Sophomore Jordan Seldon (Everett, Mass.) paced the visiting Pride tallying a game-high 17 points. Freshman Shaun Wingfield (Pembroke Pines, FL) added ten points and senior Chris Leak Jr. (New Haven, Conn.) scored nine points and a game-high 12 rebounds.

The Rams received double-digits scoring from senior Wesley Ogbevoen (Boston, Mass.) with 15, sophomore Manny Payton (Fitchburg, Mass.) with 13 and senior Tim Mangano (Winchester, Mass.) added 12.

Regis seemed to command a ten points lead though most of the 2nd frame. An Ogbevoen free throw cut the lead to 52-48 with roughly 8 minutes to go. The Pride then went on an 8-3 run over the next five minutes to extend the lead to 60-51 and secure the victory.

Regis was 23-of-54 (42.6%) from the floor and 5-of-11 (45.5%) from long range. The Rams shot 32.8% (22-for-67) from the field and 20.7% (6-for-29) from downtown.

The Rams return to action on Tuesday, November 29th when they host Wheaton College. The Pride host Wheaton on Sunday, November 27th.
