Williamstown, Mass. – The Framingham State University men's basketball team fell to Manhattanville College 69-64 this afternoon in the consolation game of the Williams College Tip-Off Tournament. With the loss, the Rams are now 1-2 on the year, while Manhattanville is now 2-1.
The Rams received 17 points from sophomore Manny Payton. Payton connected on 7-of-1 from the field including 2-of-5 from behind the arc. Freshman Tyri Hampton chipped in with 15 points off the bench for the Rams. Hampton connected on 4-of10 from the field.
Senior Wesley Ogbevoen and junior Tony Alexandre chipped in with nine points and nine rebounds apiece.
Manhattanville was led by 26 points off the bench from Willie Britton, while Dwayne Frazier added 12 on 5-of-5 shooting from the floor.
The Rams are back in action at home on Tuesday night when they entertain Regis College at 8 p.m.
