Men’s Basketball Sixth Seed In MASCAC Tournament

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University men's basketball team will be the sixth seed in this week's Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Basketball Championship Tournament.   

The Rams will travel to third seed Worcester State University on Tuesday evening in one quarterfinal match-up.  The game will be played at Assumption College with a 7 p.m. tipoff.  The winner will advance to face second seed Bridgewater State University on Thursday evening in one semifinal.  Fourth seed Westfield State University will host fifth seed MCLA on Tuesday in the other quarterfinal with the winner advancing to face top seed Salem State University on Thursday in the other semifinal.  The Tournament concludes on Saturday with the winner of the two semifinals meeting at the highest remaining seed.

The Rams finished the regular season 8-17 overall and 2-10 in the conference and were led by junior forward George Jordan (Worcester, Mass.) and freshman guard Dan Gould (Quincy, Mass.).  Jordan led the Rams averaging 10.4 points and six rebounds per game, while Gould averaged 9.8 points a contest while connecting on 38% of his offerings from behind the three point line.
