O’Brien to Remain Interim Head Coach for 2013-14 Men’s Basketball Season

Framingham, Mass. – Current Interim Head Coach Evan O'Brien will remain the Interim Head Coach of the Framingham State University men's basketball program for the 2013-14 season as announced by Framingham State Director of Athletics Tom Kelley this morning.    

O'Brien assumed the role of interim coach with two games remaining this past season and will continue to oversee the day-to-day operations of the men's basketball program.  O'Brien has been with the men's basketball program for the previous two years as an assistant coach and oversaw the team's video exchange program as well as recruiting.

Prior to joining the Rams, O'Brien was the head coach at Newbury College in Brookline where he guided the Nighthawks to the 2008 ECAC Division III New England Championship with an overall mark of 17-4.  O'Brien has also spent time coaching at Lasell College as well as serving as a graduate assistant at Suffolk University where he earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees.
