Men's Basketball Falls in Season Opener 74-62 to Endicott

Nashua, NH – The Framingham State University men's basketball team was defeated this evening by Endicott College, 74-62, in the opening round of the Rivier Coca-Cola Tip-Off Tournament.

With the loss, the Rams (0-1) will face Sarah Lawrence tomorrow afternoon at noon in the consolation game, while the Gulls (1-0) will face the host Rivier Raiders at 2 p.m. in the championship game.

The Rams were led by junior Yemi Ajao (Randolph, Mass.) who tallied 12 points and four rebounds. Ajao connected on 10-of-12 from the line in the game.  Junior Elijah Chisholm (East Boston, Mass.) tallied a team-high 13 points and grabbed five boards in his first game with the Rams.  Fellow newcomers Saleek Marshall (Avon, Mass.) and Tim McCarthy (Wilmington, Mass.) chipped in eight points apiece.

Andre Makris led five Gulls in double figures with a game-high 15 points, while John Henault and Lance Greene chipped in 14 points apiece.  Lachlan Magee added 13 points and Tyler Burkhart contributed 11.
