Field Hockey Sweeps MASCAC Weekly Awards

Framingham, MA – Framingham State freshman Ashley Malmquist (Tyngsboro, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Field Hockey Offensive Player & Rookie of the Week and senior Cori Lawson (Columbia, MD) has been named MASCAC Defensive Player of the Wekk for the week ending October 22nd.    

Malmquist netted four goals and two assists for 10 points in a 2-1 week for the Rams. She netted two goals and an assist in the 5-0 win over Bridgewater State and tallied a goal and assist in the 2-1 overtime win over WestConn while adding another score in the 4-3 overtime setback to Plymouth State. 

Lawson finished with two defensive saves in the 4-3 setback to Plymouth State making key block tackles multiple times during the 2-1 overtime victory over WestConn. She had offensive pushes lead defense during 5-0 shutout win against Bridgewater State.
