Offense Shines as Field Hockey Blows Through Regis; 7-0

Framingham, Mass.– Six different Framingham State field hockey players scored goals as the Rams defeated Regis College 7-0 in non-conference action Tuesday evening at Maple Street Field 

THE BASICS: 

- Score:  Framingham State 7, Regis 0 

- Records:Framingham State (2-1), Regis (0-2) 

- Location:Maple Street Field – Framingham, Mass.  

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • The Rams jumped out to an early lead in the opening minutes when Isabella Kondi scored off an assist from Angelina Serra 

  • The hosts scored two more first-quarter goals when Kaitlin Loughlin scored in the 11th and 15th minutes both assisted by Corlene Guenard 

  • Serra joined in on the action getting help from Konds in the 17th minute. 

  • The Rams really pulled out ahead when Abby Clark scored in the 36th minute with Guenard assisting followed by a Guenard goal with Clark assisting in the 49th minute. 

  • The Rams closed the scoring in the 50th minute when Jordyn O'Boyle joined the party with help from Bridgette Hasbrouck  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • Jocelyn White turned away ten shots in the setback for the Pride.   

  • The Rams held the advantage in shots 26-to-2 and were awarded 15 penalty corners to the Pride's one.  

 

UP NEXT: 

  • The Rams return to the field Saturday, September 18th when they travel to Plymouth State for a 1:00pm LEC matchup. Regis will host Elms on the same day at 3pm.
