The two sides alternated two scores a piece in the first half. Western got on the board first in the 4th minute when Kimberly Brower (Mahopac, NY) sent in a one-time pass from Stephanie Clapp (Seep River, Conn.).

The Rams answered just over a minute later when Bailey Donelly (Framingham, Mass.) tapped in a Sydney Buono (Ashburnham, Mass.) pass inside the left post.

Just under two minutes later the visitors took the lead when Clapp sent in a strike from Jacalyn Doerwald (Washington Depot, Conn.) in the 7th minute.

The Rams would tie it up in the 24th minute when Mycala Moody (North Attleboro, Mass.) poke checked a deflection from Caitlin Baril (Lakeville, Mass.) into the open net.

The Colonials would break the tie in the 36th minute when Amanda Spano (Mahopac, NY) scored from deep with an assist from Greta McConnell (Norwalk, Conn.). The Colonials would score an insurance goal in the 42nd minute on a Carly Matasavage (Middlebury, Conn.) unassisted tally to reach the final margin.

Elizabeth Fagan (Port Jefferson Startion, NY) earned the win in relief of Neve Manion (Newington, Conn.) for the Colonials. Haley Duggan (Framingham, Mass.) turned away 8 shots for the Rams while Spagna made two defensive saves.

Western outshot the Rams 18-to-6 and attempted 11 penalty corners to the Rams 5.

The Rams close their season on Wednesday, October 23rd when they travel to Lasell for non-conference action. The Colonials will host St. Thomas Aquinas on the same night.
