Field Hockey Blanked at Plymouth State

Holderness, NH.  The Plymouth State University field hockey team won their first Little East Conference game of the season with a 9-0 victory over visiting Framingham State at home Saturday afternoon at Holderness School.

PSU improves to 1-2 and 1-1 in Little East play while the Rams fall to 0-3 and 0-2 in the league.

Plymouth State Senior Nicole Burgess (Mexico, ME) led the Panthers with three goals. Seniors Kendal Lariviere (Dover, NH) and Kaitlyn Wilder (Framingham, MA) and freshman Maddie Kabasakalian (Kent, CT) each scored two goals. Senior Jordan Ray (Standish, ME) led the Panthers with two assists. 

PSU outshot the Rams by a 25-3 advantage. PSU Sophomore goalkeeper Dom Tarr (Antrim, NH) posted her first shutout of the season. Sophomore Haley Duggan (Framingham, MA) posted 13 saves in the loss for Framingham.

The Rams return to action next Saturday, September 14th when they host Easter Connecticut at 2:00 p.m. Plymouth State travels to Castleton State, Tuesday, Sept. 13, 4:00 p.m.
