Field Hockey Drops Season Opener To Maine-Farmington

Framingham, Mass.- The Framingham State field hockey dropped their season opener to Maine- Farmington by a score of 9-0 in non-conference action on Saturday in Framingham. With the win the Beavers move to 1-0 while the Rams drop to 0-1 on the year.

Emma Spahr (Winthrop, ME) led the attack for the Beavers with three goals while Carly Raymond (Topsham, ME) picked up two goals and an assist. Lauren Watson (Clinton, ME), Nickyia Lovely (Gardiner, ME) & Kyla Stutevant (Poland, ME) all picked up goals with Jenessa Talarico (Lewiston, ME) recording a goal and two assists.

Rams goalie Haley Duggan (Framingham, Mass.) made seven saves for the Rams. Patty Smith (Gorham, ME) made two saves in 45:07 for the Beavers before being relived by Alyssa Arsenault (Winthrop, ME).

The Rams return to action on Wednesday, September 7th when they travel to Westfield State for a Little East matchup. The Beavers have a quick turnaround as the travel to Wheelock for a noon contest tomorrow.
