Westfield, Mass. – The Westfield State University field hockey team defeated Framingham State University 2-0 in Little East Conference field hockey action on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field.

The Owls started off the game with a goal by senior Kelly Kenney (Suffield, Mass.) just 4:37 into the game. Kenny scored off of a rebound as the result of a corner opportunity. The remainder of the first half was scoreless.

Seven minutes into the second half Holly Brouillette (Burlington, Mass.) also capitalized off of a corner opportunity with a goal assisted by Kelsey Carpenter ( Barre, Mass.).
