Bristol, R.I. – The Framingham State University field hockey team tallied a pair of second half goals as they defeated Roger Williams University 2-0 this evening in non-conference action.
The Rams improve to 3-4 on the season, while Roger Williams is now 6-4.
Junior Rosemary Talbot (Whitinsville, Mass.) earned the shutout victory in net making four saves as Roger Williams took just seven shots in the game.
Senior Emma Littlefield (Rockport, Mass.) tallied the game winner in the 53rd. Littlefield converted off a pass from junior Samantha Pajer (Leicester, Mass.) at the top of the circle off a penalty corner.
Senior Rhea Urbaniak added an insurance goal, her first marker of the season, in the 65th minute to reach the final differential.
The Rams are back on the road on Saturday when they travel to Eastern Connecticut State for a Little East Conference game slated to begin at noon.
